PINTEREST AVAILABILITY

Make the design.
Check the publishing access.

Create and download Pinterest-ready images in ContentPin. Direct publishing and scheduled delivery also require an authorized Pinterest account and an accessible public board.

Status checked October 25, 2026: Standard access approved. Production publishing is undergoing internal beta validation. A connected personal account is currently rejected when reading boards (403 / 6410), so direct delivery is not verified for that account. A paid plan does not override Pinterest permissions.

What you can use now

Create template Pins from your article images, edit the copy and destination, and download the designs. You can upload the downloaded image through Pinterest itself and enter the saved title, description, alt text and article URL there. Review and confirm that separate publication yourself.

Creating a design, saving a publishing plan and receiving a verified publication receipt are different results. The free trial covers creation and export; it does not include direct API publishing.

What direct publishing requires

  • An active paid ContentPin plan or approved internal access.
  • Authorization of ContentPin Studio Publisher through Pinterest OAuth.
  • A successful account check and access to the selected public board.
  • A saved Pin with valid copy, an image and the correct public article destination.

Standard app approval alone does not establish every connected account can read boards or publish. Pinterest describes separate Pinner data access approval for non-business users in its developer changelog. The current personal-account denial still requires Pinterest-side confirmation; reconnecting or changing account type is not a verified cure.

Review first; confirm only when access passes

In Connections, authorize the intended account and synchronize its boards. Select the website, account and board in a publishing rule. In Pin Studio, save the design, select Review & schedule and request Preview. The preview checks the current account and board before final confirmation.

When those checks succeed, the workspace offers immediate publication or an explicit date, time and timezone. A saved schedule is not proof of delivery; permissions and content can change before execution. Current board-access rejection prevents relying on this path for the affected account. Board sections are not supported.

If Pinterest returns 403 / 6410

Your article and saved Pin drafts remain available. Open the error details and send the request ID and operation to support; do not send passwords, cookies or tokens. The application owner needs to check the applicable Pinterest data-access permission. Repeatedly retrying the same denial does not grant access.

You can continue preparing and downloading designs while this is investigated. Contact ContentPin support before choosing a plan solely for direct Pinterest publication.

Sandbox and publication receipts

Sandbox connections, boards and receipts are separate from production, and Sandbox test Pins remain visible only to their creator. A production receipt checks the returned Pin ID, board and destination link. Public visibility must be checked separately on Pinterest.

ContentPin uses OAuth and does not ask for your Pinterest password or browser cookies. You choose and confirm the destination; it does not post automatically to every account or board.
